Louise to exhibit art at the ‘In Manchester’ Exhibition…
‘In Manchester’ is our Open Call Exhibition where we showcase a selection of Manchester’s best artists.
“We will be taking over the whole of Floor 6, 100 Barbirolli Square. The exhibition is open to all to come along and see a huge variety of Manchester artists including LOUISE GARMAN. Launching with a private view, Wednesday 18th May, the exhibition runs to Sunday 5th June and is free to attend!
We first held this in April 2021 and it was a great success. We thoroughly enjoyed showcasing so many amazing Manchester based artists, and meeting them at the exhibition also, plus selling their work was an additional bonus, seeing their art go to new homes to continue to be enjoyed!
‘In Manchester’ exhibition is another way for us to really show off how varied and incredible Manchester’s art scene is. As last time, we held an open call for all you lovely people to submit your amazing art, but this time, it will be showcased in a whole new venue. We will be in the stunning (and very central) 100 Barbirolli Square, taking over the whole floor and filling it with incredible art.
We invited all Greater Manchester based artists to submit work. This was open to everyone; hobbyists, students, graduates, amateurs and professionals alike. We’re all about accessibility in the arts here at Cotton On MCR, and we want this exhibition to show that art can be for everyone and made by anyone!
We aim to create a level platform for all types of artists, to share the wall space and have your art reach a whole new audience.
The open call is now closed and we have shortlisted 73 artists and 88 pieces of work to show! We have a huge mix of paintings, sculptures, textiles and photography work for you to come and view for free!
At this exhibition we will be hosting a private view for press and artists on Wednesday 18th May, and the exhibition will launch to the public Thursday 19th May, running until Sunday 5th June (closed Monday’s).”
